Intersection Odyssey
Submission for the VimJam4. It's my first game jam, so be gentle ;)
You are the Intersection Master, tasked with bringing order to the chaos of a bustling intersection. Your goal is to help fellow drivers safely exit this web of roads and reach their destinations
Direction Cards
You have 6 direction cards in your deck, and these are your tools for controlling traffic flow. Simply drag and drop them onto intersections. Each direction on a card is used for one car only. When a card is empty, it's randomly replaced with a new one in your deck.
Colored Cars and Checkpoints
Colored cars are in a hurry, but they must pass through checkpoints matching their color before they can exit. If they don't, you'll lose a precious life.
Limited Lives
You've got 3 lives to play with, so make sure those colored cars find their way! And by the way, if all roads get jammed up and no more cars can spawn, a 10-second countdown starts ticking!
Scoring
Each car successfully guided to an exit earns you one point, and if a colored car passes through the correct checkpoint, you gain 5 points.
Controls
Use your mouse or touch screen to drag and drop cards onto intersections.
Known bugs (so far)
- Game may crash when clicking on "Retry" (so just restart it by refreshing the page)
- Movement of the cars depends on the browser (forgot to cap by deltatime). However, this does NOT affect the gameplay (besides seeming stressful, sorry vimlark ;))
